Christopher Day MA VetMB VetFFHom CertIAVH MRCVS

Christopher has used veterinary homeopathy since qualifying in 1972, having previously treated himself with homeopathic medicines throughout his teens and conducting self-study while at veterinary school. He obtained his VetMFHom in 1987, becoming VetFFHom in 1991. He is certified by the IAVH at examiner level.

He is Veterinary Dean to the Faculty of Homeopathy, with responsibility for curriculum, education and qualifications. He was the first President of the International Association for Veterinary Homeopathy. He served 25 years as Honorary Secretary of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons.

At the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital in the early eighties he organised Faculty veterinary courses, with curriculum and minimum standards on which the IAVH education programme was later modelled. He has lectured and taught extensively in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, USA, Italy, Holland and Germany, with occasional lectures in Switzerland, Spain, Hungary and France.

Christopher has written numerous books, papers and articles on the homeopathic treatment of animals and contributed to many others. He is actively involved in several national and international animal welfare issues. He has also undertaken clinical trial research in several species and some of this has been published in the Veterinary Record, IJVH, BHJ and other journals. His work has been featured in several television programmes.

We can't imagine that Chris has much spare time, which makes it more extraordinary that he has somehow managed to indulge a lifelong passion for Saab vehicles, by amassing a collection that covers a large proportion of a decent-sized field, apart from those under cover!
